Pioneer adds an extra dimension to the SC-55 by being the only multi-channel Class-D amplifier manufacturer to be awarded the coveted THX Select 2 Plus certification for the ultimate immersive surround sound experience for rooms up to 2000 square feet.
This is particularly meaningful to home theater enthusiasts. Filmmakers mix their audio tracks at a "Reference Level" of 85dB. This level is the basis for THX certification engineering and performance. The SC-55 can produce this level with all channels driven, meeting and exceeding THX performance requirements while maintaining our signature sound.
