5 out of 5 stars I LOVE this scanner.   July 28, 2010
Giselle Almonte (Brooklyn, New York)
This is the best 70 bucks I've ever spent.

I've only been using it for pencil drawings and a couple of colored ones but overall this scanner does a GREAT job because of its high dpi. You can see the drawings so clearly it's as if you're holding it in your hand~. All the detail is there and there is no blur or weird coloring.

Scanning just takes seconds and then I'm good to go. I also like the 180 degree lid.

I was afraid if I was going to choose a scanner that wasn't going to do it's job because this is the first one I ever bought. But I absolutely LOVE this scanner to bits and very happy that I picked the right one for a decent price.

3 out of 5 stars Epson Perfection Scanner V30   July 27, 2010

If you scan and copy a lot, this is not for you as it is very slow and takes several actions before printing. I for one do not copy and scan several things at a time so it works for me. The price is resonable. I had a HP Scanner that cratered after 5 years. You could copy and it would go straight to the printer, where the Epson does not. It goes to computer where you choose what application you want before going to printer

4 out of 5 stars Works with a USB hub   July 20, 2010

The first one I ordered arrived DOA (Epson calls it a "Hardware Failure". Amazon was great about the RMA, UPS pickup and sent a replacement before the old one was picked up.

The second one hooked up flawlessly. The main reason I bought it was to use with a USB hub and switch--my old Canon would not. It worked beautifully the first time with no glitches. So far I'm bery happy with it! The four switches are a great bonus--and they work with Windows 7.

4 out of 5 stars good product - poor support   July 14, 2010

The V30 is an excellent scanner. Images are sharp and there are all of the usual features available. The downside of it is that the documentation is poorly done, making it difficult to use. I wanted to use the "one-touch" buttons. This advertising term is used on the box, but does not appear anywhere in the documentation. When I called Epson to ask for technical help, I spoke to people who did not know anything about the scanner and were reading the documentation they had while I waited. One Epson person told me that my scanner could not copy directly to my printer because I had the wrong model for that function. He was wrong and obviously not trained at even an elementary level.
